Born in Portugal in 1978, daughter of Cape Verdean parents.
Lisbon city that has seen her grow from where she attended high school.
At 18 she felt the strong call to know other countries,
the country chosen was the Netherlands, presizer Rotterdam this is the city where she lives today.
A city with a great diversity of habitants, a city of opportunities for all,
where lives a large number of Cape Verdeans ,she lives there on a daily basis a mix of African culture and European culture, despite not having been many times in this continent, she feels he runs strong in her veins the blood of Africa.
Having anxiety and passion to know more and more which are the roots of it, Sofia discovered that Africa not shown in European television.
She found the simplicity and brotherhood of the Cape Verdean people, and for marrying an Angolan also discovered the wealth and the spirit to win the Angolan people have.
And so she decided to promote this positivism will those who have not made this discovery, wanting so through her oil paintings bring to its people and other people a new image of Africa.

Nasceu em Portugal no ano de 1978 ,filha de pais caboverdianos.
Lisboa cidade que lhe viu crescer aonde frequentou o liceu .
Aos 18 anos sentiu o forte chamado de conhecer outros paizes,
o paiz escolhido foi a Holanda ,presizamente Rotterdam esta é a cidade aonde ela vive até hoje .
Uma cidade com uma grande diversidade em habitantes,uma cidade de opurtunidades para todos,
aonde vive um grande numero de Caboverdianos aí ela vive no dia a dia um mix de cultura africana e cultura europeia ,apesar de nao ter estado muitas vezes nesse continente , ela sente que corre forte nas veias dela o sangue Africano.
Tendo a ansiedade e a paixao de conhecer cada vez mais quais sao as raizes dela ,a Sofia descobriu a Africa que nao se mostra na televizao europeia.
Ela encontrou a simplicidade e a irmandade do povo caboverdiano , e por ter casado com um angolano descobriu tambem as riquezas e o espírito de vencer do povo Angolano.
E assim ela decidiu promover esse positivismo á aqueles que ainda nao fizerao essa descoberta, querendo assim atráves das suas pinturas a óleo trazer ás suas gentes e aos outros povos uma nova imagem de Africa.
